Equine Veterinary services

Servicing Drouin, Warragul, Neerim South & Surrounds

We offer on property visits for our equine patients. We have portastocks (a portable equine crush as shown in the photographs on the right) in regular use for equine dental procedures. We also have both portable ultrasound and x-ray equipment for equine examinations.

Reproductive services for all breeds including(Subject to availability):

• Artificial insemination using fresh, frozen and chilled semen (only available at our facility in Ellinbank and cut off dates apply, we have limited availability for breeding this year so please ensure that you enquire before August 2025)
• Thoroughbred reproduction management (Must have own suitable equine crush on your property)
• Stud reproduction packages available
• Workup and management of problem mares

Other services:

• Equine stud book accredited
• AQIS accredited for export work
• In house microbiology for quick turnaround of mare samples
• On-property surgery (castration, stitch-ups)
  
• Equine dentistry using the latest equipment (Subject to availability for new clients)
• Referral to Dr. Paul Owens for more specialised dental cases. 
• Annual health checks including vaccination programs
• Parasite management and advice
• In-house faecal egg counts

• After hours veterinary care available for clients
